NaBloPoMo, Day 19 - In which I get a non-answer

Sunday night. It's late and I'm off to bed very soon, but I just thought I'd pop in so as not to miss a NaBloPoMo day. Also, I need to record for posterity that I asked TCB what he thought was going to happen to the two of us while he's gone for two years and he answered, "I don't know." I figured I'd give him some time to cogitate, so I just said, "Fair enough," and moved on with dinner. Still, it was an uncomfortable moment. I fear there will be more of those as we negotiate these next 9 months until his transfer.

I'm not feeling the Top Five tonight, so I'll have to be extra clever tomorrow. (Or something.)

You don't have to extra clever for us.

"I don't know" is a fair answer and I can see why it would make you uncomfortable. Every relationship has to navigate through certain channels and this is one of them. It's just that you can see this one coming and there's no easy answer. Even if he said "let's get married, babe," that would be a scary thing to hear/do/consider.

Hang in there.
