Day 16, 250 to go - And suddenly I am 65

OK, why did no one tell me how much fun Wii Fit Plus is, huh? I screwed up my courage and gave it a shot this morning and wow, I really enjoyed it. Of course, I had to deal with the fact that my Wii Age is 65 while Mr. Calendar tells me I'm only 42, but I can live with that. Or, rather, I can work on that.

Hi, and welcome to the world of successfully starting a life journey to better health! I live close; in Mission Viejo (O.C.) You can do this! I'm at:

Good luck!!!
You will definitely make improvements the more active you get. And yes, it doesn't have to be 50 minute workouts to be effective. I read in Prevention Magazine that 3 10 minute walks a day can be more effective than 30 minutes at the gym. Walking is my main form of cardio. Glad you like Wii Fit. Enjoying your exercise is crucial! :-)

Saw you on HYC and popped in. Love the look of your Blog and have added you to my reader so looking forward to more. All the best.

By the way are you finding that the better you eat the less you suffer from depression.?

It's LOTS of fun! And while I certainly don't want to discourage you from trying to lower your age, take it with a grain of salt: I've gone from 43 to 22 to 36 in three days (I'm 31) - it's pretty much all based on your balance at that exact time. BUT! Keep having fun with it!

Welcome to the Healthy You Challenge. :)

I too have eating related moods. I eat right and am nice to live with and the sun shines. Eat too many carbohydrate, especially sugar and white four, bread etc. and I'm a nightmare, so horrible, grumpy, touchy, angry, depressed and any other negative you like to add in. Wish I had the sense to never eat that stuff.
